Coming, Spring 2027

Mateo always looks forward to fishing with Dad and their dog, Max, but today Max isn’t feeling well and can’t go with them.  As they walk and fish, Dad and Mateo remember great times with Uncle Julian who used to go fishing with them as Mateo worries about Max who is quite old and may not live for long.  Warm memories of Uncle Julian and honest conversations help Mateo and Dad face the losses that come in life and appreciate the ones they love right now.  

Like Book 1, this story is illustrated using MJ Blaisdell's mixed-media style: watercolor pictures with stitched and layered fabric art, bringing characters to life page by page.
